Overview: Port wine is still made in the same way and place as when it first emerged from Portugal’s Douro Valley in the 17th century. However, 300+ years of production, modern winemaking technology, and adventurous winemakers have given us a fresh new version of this traditional, fortified wine. Enter Port Rosé , the newest Port on the block!

Aging: Aged 5 months in stainless steel.

Grapes: Touriga Nacional and Tinta Barroca.

Tasting notes: Soft, sweet, red fruits flavors, long and persistent finish.

Enjoy with: Rosé Port pairs exceptionally well with food from around the world. Pork dumplings, curry noodles, sushi and samosas are all great pairings for this versatile Port style.

Color: Light rosé, like a pink flamingo!

Aroma: Delicate aromas of raspberry and strawberry.

How to enjoy: Alone, as an aperitif, blended in a cocktail with red fruit, orange peel, mint leaves and ice; at any time of the day! Recipe for a Port rosé cocktail here. 

Winemaking: Hand-picked; no foot treading only pressing.

Suggestions: A Porto to drink now. Serve chilled 10°C/50°F.

About Quinta do Tedo: In the heart of Portugal’s Douro Valley, surrounded by terraced vineyards that climb high above the dramatic confluence of the Douro and Tedo rivers, sits an 18th-century estate, Quinta do Tedo. 

The Quinta’s 100% estate-grown organic grapes come from 37 acres of class "A" vineyards, the highest rating from the Portuguese Instituto do Vinhos do Douro e Porto (comparable to France's Grand Cru). Less than 2% of Douro Valley appellation's rough 100,000 acres are class "A". This rating is subject to soil make-up, vineyard exposure, grape variety, vine spacing and altitude, to list only a couple of the 24 criteria considered(!). 

Quinta do Tedo is a labor of love, family owned and operated - which is becoming harder and harder to find in this famed region dominated by large wine conglomerates. Enjoy these amazing wines!
