2019 Romeu Rosé is an organically farmed, totally dry rosé that screams cranberries, pomegranate and minerality. Aged in stainless steel, no oak, dry (no sweetness).
Varietals: Co-fermentation of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Cão.
Pairings: Pairings: This is a serious rose with body which would pair perfectly for salmon, pork or turkey!
Quinta do Romeu is an incredible family farm in the Douro that has stood the test of time producing cork, olive oil and wine throughout the establishment of the Portuguese Republic, two world wars, the Carnation Revolution of 1974 and Portugal’s integration into the European Union.
The Quinta is located at 1,050 feet above sea level in the upper Douro - the coolness of the evenings at high elevation allows for freshness and elegance. Romeu is certified organic and intervenes as little as possible. The incredible biodiversity at Romeu - wild cork forests, organic olive groves and vineyards - creates an ideal setting for organic farming.
